Reevee writes songs the way others bleed—quietly, privately, until the pain demands to be heard.
It began in a Dothan, Alabama bedroom at sixteen: a cheap acoustic guitar, an 8-track recorder, and a heart full of questions too big for small-town roads. He poured love, doubt, and flickering faith onto tape after tape—raw diary entries in minor chords and falsetto. But he kept them locked away. Too honest. Too exposed.
A tenth-grade reading of Hemingway cracked the door open; the guitar became the way through. For fifteen years he carried those hidden songs to juke joints, beach fires, festival stages across the South, and even ancient streets in York, England—learning to hush rooms in Muscle Shoals and turn peanut festivals into revivals. Yet the real songs—the ones that named names—stayed in that bedroom.
Until now.
Reevee’s music finally steps into the light: rootsy, soulful, funky Southern indie-alternative with acoustic bones, falsetto ghosts, and grooves like heat lightning. Songs about fathers, almost-lovers, God and the devil sharing a Waffle House counter, and choosing honesty over fear.

Brett’s love of music started at 15 when his youth pastor let him play drums in the church’s youth praise band—despite elders saying the drums came from “nightclubs and straight out of hell.” He didn’t care. He wasn’t playing for them. Not long after, he found an old acoustic guitar in his stepfather’s closet, and something stuck. From daydreaming imaginary setlists in class to playing in local bands, music became the one constant he couldn’t shake. A jazz band scholarship took him deeper, and years of writing and playing across the Southeast followed before he packed up and moved to Nashville to chase it full-time. There, he wrote with dozens of songwriters and played writers’ rounds and Broadway bars, learning the grind from the inside out. After COVID, Brett hit the road with no real plan other than letting the music show him parts of the country he hadn’t seen yet—playing rooms tied to places like the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Whiskey Jam stage while touring the eastern U.S. He’s since come back home to Dothan, Alabama, where he now plays mostly along the Florida panhandle, still chasing songs the same way he always has.
